A DEADLY FAMILY HISTORY...a kept secret for generations and a shocking crime that shook a city. For more than a century, the families of both victim and murderer were silent about what happened. Award-winning journalist GARY SOSNIECKI—the great grandson of the victim—returns and reflects on the family’s dark secret and reveals the story of two immigrant families united by love and torn apart by domestic violence.
Join us at 6pm, on Tuesday, October 3, as Gary brings us details of his great-grandmother’s murder…and the long journey he took in writing "The Potato Masher Murder: Death at the Hands of a Jealous Husband." Copies of Gary’s book will be available for purchase.
If you have questions about this event, please call the library at (417)532-2148.
