Celebrate Kids to Parks Day at Bennett Spring State Park.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., hands-on activities will be available in the nature center.
At 10 a.m., park staff will lead a beginner-level hike on Oak Hickory Trail. Oak Hickory Trail is a 0.3-mile loop behind the nature center that has a set of outdoor stairs and a gentle grade up and along the hillside. Participants will learn signage and hiking and safety tips while experiencing nature. All ages are welcome.
At 2 p.m., there will be an outdoor fish and mammal maze for those who would like to learn how to better identify nature.
